event with Plush was good, some stuff didn't happen as planned, but for my first ever jam in Vancouver after moving to Toronto over three years ago, it wasn't a bad start. that and we started thinkin about the party 5 days prior to the event haha. def good to see 9 of our girls out there though, if for nothing else, just to see how they each interacted and conducted themselves in that type of environment. we'll be doing lots of events in Vancouver this year, i'm excited about our Vancouver roster.
main order of business was goin thru all the restored photos (from my lost harddrives) with each of the girls in Vancouver, and that worked out well.. didn't do as many photoshoots as I would've liked to, but the ones we did turned out pretty amazing.. i'm a better photographer now than i was 6 mths ago i guess, and my girls are better models now than they were last summer, so that's dope. i ended up buying a new set of lights in Vancouver just coz i felt like it, so now i have another set of lights - yay. (packing that and bringing it back to Toronto was a BITCH though, holy shit.)
on a personal note, didn't see EVERYONE i wanted to see, but i saw most of the people i wanted to see, which is good enough. funny thing about Vancouver - nothing changes. funny thing #2, part of me really digs Vancouver, despite that fact.
i still love driving, and i managed to pass my full road test (class 5) despite running my first two stop signs. had a pretty chillin' invigilator i guess, he just laughed afterwards at how basically i was a retard for being so careless right off the bat, but he didn't want to fail me coz i didn't make any other mistakes for the rest of the 44 minute drive he took me on.
my best friend, who is dope coz she's probably reading this (haha) and coz she surprised me by droppin in town for a week (from HK), thinks i've gotten even nuttier with my driving. which is probably true.. i went from Oakridge to Metrotown in under 9 minutes at 10am the other day :/ meh. i drive the same way i live my life - with a controlled desperation. even though i'm usually doubling the speed limit, i'm always lookin 4-5 steps ahead for potential hazards and chances to avoid traffic queues. i love driving so much that i (briefly) imagined what it'd be like to be a taxi driver even, and i jus might have to try race car driving someday.... funny, being able to drive is one of the skills i'm actually more proud of, lol.
not too much else for now, the rest i'll just leak when i see fit. =)
PS. i didn't post these before, so i'll do it now - the following are the promo flyers we did for the Plush event in Vancouver, i'll have the event photos up in a few:
